Ben Cline is a humble and wise man working diligently behind the scenes to save our country. A man of integrity that is not flashy, but a champion and loyal patriot to our Constitution.
In Ben’s own words –
“During my two terms in Congress, I have worked every day to be a consistent conservative voice for the Sixth District. I’ve focused on solving problems that give Virginians more freedom and less government. During my first term, I supported President Trump’s agenda that saw the American economy elevated to new heights. For the past year, I have led the efforts to resist the disastrous policies of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi. The Biden/Pelosi agenda has brought forth devastating effects for so many Americans.”
To close out this years activities, the committee dedicated itself to honoring the birth of Jesus Christ with a holiday float in the annual Waynesboro Virginia Christmas parade. Oh hand to celebrate was Ben Cline, our 6th Congressional District Representative. The number of members who volunteered to create and walk with the float was overwhelming. A truck and trailer were volunteered along with a music speaker to play Christmas music. Handy craftsmen and women volunteered to build the nativity scene and a nativity set was donated. It took the afternoon, but what a float! Thanks to all for pitching in to celebrate the birth of the King.
Our committee was elated to have Lieutenant Governor Elect Winsome Sears Visit our HQ's after her stunning victory during the 2021 election cycle. All of our members were excited to learn she would attend our open house event. During her visit she thanked all for their dedication and hard work during the election. She also talked about the incoming administrations priorities for the new year. Finally, she placed her signature on the Winsome Sears campaign sign hung on the HQ's wall. Much thanks to Suellen Obaugh for coordinating the reception and Marshall Pattie for coordinating the visit.
On October 31st, 2021 the committee held its second annual Trunk or Treat. In honor of our candidate for Governor, we named the occasion, Youngkin Pumpkin Trunk or Treat. We doubled our attendance from the previous year with over 200 visitors, ghouls, and goblins. With popcorn, ice cones, hotdogs, and trunks full of candy on hand, who would not want to attend? We are so thankful for all the volunteers who ran the welcome table, cooked the food, gave out candy, and stayed to clean up the mess! But mostly, we are happy for all the children and teens that attended. The smiles on their faces made for a grand Halloween celebration.
Sheila Lilly and Phyllis Hollewel work the Waynesboro Republican Committee's booth at Apple Days in Waynesboro. Apple The event featured crafters, artists, direct sale vendors, nonprofits, and food vendors. A perfect time for committee volunteers to reach out to our community and spread the word about our conservative candidates for Governor, LT Governor, Attorney General, and Delegate. Many contacts were made and most of our campaign signs were handed out. Thanks so much to all who set up, supported, and took down our booth. Another job well done!
On September 17, Waynesboro Republican Committee members attended a "First Day of Voting Celebration" at the Augusta County Government Center in Verona. Our candidate for Governor, Mr. Glenn Youngkin and our candidate for Attorney General, Mr. Jason Miyares were on hand to celebrate the occasion. The collage above was put together by one of our members, Ms. Deane Dozier. It is a beautiful representation of an event that included music, food, fellowship and a celebration of American Patriotic Spirit!
Craig Scott recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Morton Blackwell at a Virginia State Central Committee meeting on 21 August 2021. As Craig stated, "This gentleman is a legend, a man of courage, a national treasure and our grand resource who needs to be honored."
This is a very, small sample of his generational work - He was the youngest delegate to Barry Goldwater RNC in 1964; alternative delegate for Reagan in 1968 and 1976 and a delegate in 1980; former special assistant to President Ronald Reagan on the White House staff; former staff member, Senate Republican Policy Committee; serves on the Republican National Convention's Standing Committee on Rules.

Committee members work the Waynesboro Virginia Republican Committee booth at an April "Showmasters Gun Shows Inc." gun show at the Augusta Expo in Fishersville. Yes, they are all looking really good! Not only was the team able to get the word out to vote but they were also able to educate show attendees on their choices in our upcoming election. In addition the team directed attendees to the appropriate county or city committee so they could actually work the issues by asking to be a part of a local committee.
Kudos to Jim Wood for building the committee sign for the booth and all the great folks that came out to support our cause!
Our committee has put together a fantastic selection of Republican and 2A themed hats, shirts, can coolers, coffee mugs, garden flags and key chains for our fellow patriots. Check out our "About Us" page to find out when the HQ's is open at:

Then come on down to HQ's and have a look for yourself. You will not be disappointed! Also don't forget to tell your friends so they can check out what we have available. All donations go straight back into our committee so we can continue to support the conservative cause and the local Waynesboro Community.
Our committee continues to support our local community. A team composed of Brandi Thompson, Devona Coffey and Lana Williams led the committee in organizing a show of support for our Law Enforcement and Fire and Rescue Services personnel. The trio received many generous donations from committee members. As a result they were to able to deliver boxes of snacks to our main police department, main fire department and a remote fire station location. The men and women who support our Emergency Services in Waynesboro are often on the go from one incident to another and they get hungry. A variety of food items were provided including sunflower seeds, chips, candy bars, fruit chews and granola bars. We thanked them for all they do for our community and they were very appreciative. Thanks to all who made this event a success for those who keep us safe 24/7.
Our committee has been working with the Waynesboro Area Refuge Ministry (WARM) to provide useful donations and assist in their operations. Pictured above is Angie who works at WARM and recently accepted our donations (THANKS WRC, YOU REALLY CAME THROUGH!). The donations were dropped off by Danny Ledford, Dwight Williams and his daughter, Bella. WARM was thankful as they are in the process of restocking their pantry. WARM provides emergency and temporary housing to individuals and families who lack the financial resources to maintain stable housing. WARM currently provides winter shelter to homeless adults at sites in Waynesboro and Augusta County, Virginia and temporary housing and supportive services to homeless mothers and their children in Waynesboro. Jamey Sensabaugh, his wife Tiffany, and 12 year old son Tye register voters at Dominion Outdoors (https://www.dominionoutdoors.com/) on September 12, 2020. The family originally became involved with the Waynesboro Republican Committee when it became clear to Jamey that Ralph Northam was tyrannically trying to strip Virginians of their rights. Jamey stated, "I believe that our country is under attack and as fast as the world is turning now if we don't find our voice and take a stand for our way of life, all that we know and have known may be lost. I believe now more than ever it is important to teach our children that our freedom is not disposable and if it is thrown away it may never be found again. It is critical that we take a stand and fight for what we believe in." The families 4 year old some Gabe, has been saying that his mom is “changing the world.” He came up with this on his own, and while Jamey and his wife would like to believe that’s true, they know it is good that he thinks that of her so that one day it might not be so hard for him to believe that of himself. The family plans on being more involved in the future and would encourage anyone else on the sidelines to jump in the game, its the 4th quarter and we need to score!
